Zhongshe Flower Market | Taichung 2019

Updated: Oct 9, 2019

中社觀光花市花海

Country: Taichung, Taiwan

Address: No. 333, Sec. 5, Sanfeng Road, Houli Dist, Taichung City 421, Taiwan

Hours: 9am-6pm daily

Nearest station: Tai'an

Itinerary: Day 2 - #2 stop

How Did I Get There: Bus 800 from Rainbow Village to Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Station, Walk to Xinwuri Station, Train (Fuxing / Shuttle 3248 towards to Hsinchu) to Tai'an Station, Walk using Google Maps

Side story: Upon reaching the station, there were several tourist-looking passengers that alighted as well. It was hard to assume if they were all going to the flower market as well so while we were relying on Google map to get there, it was sure daunting question if we were on the right track as we kept seeing those people slowing disappear as they went elsewhere.

✔ Perfect for all year-round

Depending on the season, you'll get to see different flowers.

It's really hard to gauge what else is there as we went in March, which according to their table - Lotus wouldn't bloom until June, but we saw a pond of lotus so ... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Be sure to visit their site (http://www.flowerjs.com.tw/) for more information on admission fees as it varies depending on the season!

While sages are blooming throughout the year (according to their table), we couldn't achieve the iconic sages & piano shot.

The fields were also slippery so do watch your step if you're visiting on/ after a rainy day, unless you want to be like me.

To be honest, there is nothing much to do except photo-taking, unless you are interested in purchasing some greenery back home. There's this store that sells random knick-knacks and souvenir as well. We stopped by there for some shaved ice as dessert. Other than that, I still do recommend this place for some good-o-IG shots!
