For our 3D2N in Taichung, we stayed at Yizhong Loft Hostel, booked via Airbnb. It cost SGD$31.61* per night then and my total came down to SGD$74.53, inclusive of cleaning and service charges.

Booking
Check in was stated to be from 5pm onwards hence I messaged the host if we could have our room earlier as we will be reaching earlier. The staff managing the account replied in Mandarin that luggage storage is available free of charge for first come first serve basis.
This might be a considering factor for some if you are not fluent in Mandarin as instructions we received after booking was in Mandarin as well.
Check In
The loft hostel registration counter was in another building, inside GetCha Hostel & Bistro. Although it was stated in our instructions, their main entrance was so unassuming so we could not find the door for a while, thinking that they were closed.
Their luggage storage consist of a wall shelf so space was limited. Everything was also placed at your own risk so we had to ensure that we brought along our valuables.
Upon check in, the staff brought us to another building down the area and briefed us on how to access everything. There was a lift up to all the numerous apartment so we had to remember which was our block number and the code to enter. Then there was another lift to our level and another code to our room. Everything was printed on our room key so we brought it around.
First Impression
One of the main reasons which we booked the room was because of its industrial theme. When we enter, everything felt very clean and the room was spacious for two large luggages. There was many platforms to lay out things, from the table, to the edge beside the window and tv console.
I forgot to take photos of the bathroom but it was clean and nothing much to fuss about. However, the shower have a 15-20 minutes limit for hot water, so the next user need to wait 15-20 minutes before being able to enjoy hot water again.
Closer look
Usually, hotels or hostels would provide light refreshments such as tea or coffee. And to enjoy them, you would need hot water and cups. While cups are provided, we found it odd that there were no kettle.
That aside, there was no closet but a small rack with a few hangers to set our outfits the night before. Room slippers were also available but I remembered them looking slightly worned out.
Final Thoughts
The accommodation area had many food and shopping options around and relatively near the Yizhong Night Market. However, we found it slightly out of place as the registration counter was out of nowhere in another Hostel & Bistro place.
The few things I liked about the room was the large space and simple process when booking and checking out. We just had to leave the room key on the table and scan a QR code on the door. So it saved us the hassle of going all the way back to Getcha Hostel & Bistro to check out at the counter, etc.
That's all I have for this place.
