How Did I Get There: Cab from Zhongshe Flower Market
✔ Priceless view
This place offers stunning view, be it low or high tide.
Although, I must say, to do your research on the place's peak period prior to coming down. My friend and I were fortunate enough to visit on a low visitor count and manage to snap a few shots with no tourists.
The last thing you would want after traveling far and long is to see this place being people mountain people sea.
✔ Food stalls available
Locals have stalls outside their homes selling your typical snacks that you can find at every night market. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but satisfying enough to have hot food on cold windy days.
✘ Extremely inaccessible
We cabbed down from Zhongshe Flower Market and the fare cost more than SGD$30. Initially, we were planning to stay for a while to watch the sun set. However, we heard from locals that the last bus leaves around 7pm. Not wanting to incur additional cost as we were only on our second day of the trip, we left at around 6pm to locate the bus stop, which was quite a walk away from the wetland itself.
Despite all the cons, the view was really something else. If the weather was not that cold, I would love to go into the water like some of the kids at the end of the boardwalk.
