Located in one of the most culturally sophisticated areas of the city, the man-made Arboretum serves multiple purposes: a reservoir for diversity to develop, an eco learning center for students, and a recreational area for all.
Inside what looks like a giant greenhouse are tropical trees and greens, similar to Shingu Botanic Garden, one of the filming location of A Korean Odyssey. The humidity reminds me of what we have in Singapore, which was an eye opening experience for my friend as it was different to what they have in Korea.
Stepping outside, you'll see an octagonal gazebo and a lake. I guess it is great for picnic if you manage to snatch a good spot within this park.
There are different zones with various species of plants. I loved how everywhere can be a photo spot.
Walking down the pathway, there are also more benches and gazebos.
This place is really suitable for those who love to get up close to nature, or just want to find a spot to chill with friends. There is also a playground near the entrance with a portable shelter so I remembered seeing skaters and teenages playing basketball.
