How Did I Get There: Walk from Hongdae using Naver Map
After our satisfying meal at James Cheese Grilled Back Ribs & Pub, we made our way to Yeonnam-dong. When we were planning our itinerary, I found this supposingly a hipster area with lots of art murals. Walkable from Hongdae area and with lots of cafes, our inner Arts Business Management (ABM) student heart felt like it was a must go.
One of the highlights there was definitely the cherry blossom as it was Spring during our visit. The following photographs were taken outside a very floral-looking cafe. Shortly into our small "photoshoot", we even managed to attract other locals to take pictures at our exact spots.
When everyone was good to go, we carried on to find the alley of murals that we saw online. It is in the same alley as a dog cafe with dogs running around in the front yard so it is really hard to miss.
Unfortunately, it started drizzling and causing a drop in temperature. Hence we quickly seeked shelter in the first cafe we found and ordered some hot drinks to wait out the rain.
All i can remember was that it didn't seem like it was going to stop hence we made a run for it back to Hongdae with the limited number of umbrellas we had at that time. I did not want to waste money purchasing one as I left mine in our Airbnb so it was quite a trip back, with several stopover to hide from the cold winds at whatever convenient stores we saw.
With more time and good weather, I would definitely want to spend more time at Yeonnam-dong as there is so much more that was left unexplored.
