How Did I Get There: Yongma Land -> Yangsu Station, Walk using Naver Map
With a light breakfast before heading to Yongma Land, I cannot lie if I were to say that I was not starving by the time I reached Yangsu Station and walked to Yeonbat in the cold.
Thankfully, it was probably an odd timing to have any lunchtime crowd so I got to sit at a large table with just myself.
Their famous traditional lotus leaf rice set meal (연밭정식) actually comes in a set, meant for 2 pax at 15,000 won. I explained that I was a solo traveller hence they just cut out a serving of rice but still charged me at the same price. Ultimately, I am not complaining since the food and serving for one was still worth the amount.
They did serve appetizers consisting of 복분자주 or fruit wine, radish soup, small plate of salad and some kimchi pancake - all of which I forgot to snap a photo because I was so hungry. Following that, came my main course with a load of 반찬 or small side dishes served along with my steamed pollack and lotus leaf rice.
Regardless of having a "plus one" or not, 15,000 won for one with all these goodness, appetizers, kimchi jjigae and steam egg? It's a win if you asked me. I would totally go back again to try out other dishes. Most likely with someone else (hopefully) to finish up everything.
