How Did I Get There: Walked from Sung Sim Dang Bakery
After walking around the famous Euneungjeongi Street, it felt a bit restless due to the lack of crowd. My friend explained that usually the street would be buzzing with life but just not today.
Side story: My friend wanted to show me around to some good food places but, for some reason, everything was closed. Hence we went back to Euneungjeongi Street, had a quick Jjampong lunch and went to our next stop across the Mogcheoggyo (목척교). Initially the Jungang Market was not in our plan but it was along the way to the bus stop hence my friend brought me to walk to through it.
We were greeted by lots of fresh fruits stores and street food stores. One thing that caught my eye was this hotteok store, which had a crowd surrounding it, waiting for their order.
The hotteok was 1,000 won each and to have a piping hot one in the cold weather? It was perfect.
Given that the place is probably not marketed as a tourist spot, I felt like I was the only foreigner there. I would say to give this place a try as there were many food stores and fresh produce.
