“Hotdog Uncle” is a documentary about a man who came to Banqiao, New Taipei City, forty years ago with many hopes and dreams. As he sells Korean hotdogs in Daguan district’s Nanya Night Market, he carries the same way he treats his customers with the service in his previous western restaurant. While he dons a button-up shirt, suit pants, and leather shoes for work, he greets every passerby whole-heartedly. Though he already has many life experiences, he still has his own unaccomplished dreams.
